Fontova Mexican Foods



Chilaquiles -


- 2 jars of your favorite Fontova Salsa
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 3 cups of chicken stock
- 2 large white onions
- 2 cups of monterey jack cheese
- 14 oz. of tortilla chips. (For homeade chips check the recipe page)
- 3/4 cup of sour cream or Mexican crema
- handful of cilantro to top (optional)


- Preheat oven to 300 degrees, In a large pot heat oil at medium to hot heat. Add one and half chopped white onions to oil until browned (approx. 8 or 9 minutes). Add your favorite salsa and chicken broth to pot and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of shredded monterey jack cheese.

Place tortilla chips into a baking sheet and over with sauce. Sprinkle a 1/2 cup of shredded monterey jack on top.

Cover baking dish with foil (don't let chips touch the foil. Put into preheated over for 8-10 minutes. When cheese starts bubbling take out of the oven.

Top with sour cream, and garnish with cilantro then serve immediately.
